"I'm excited to share our findings with IECA attendees," Crabtree says. "This is a great way to get information on the importance of building online reputations into the hands of admissions consultants and other advisors."
The surveys offer detailed data on whether and how often admissions officers search for applicants online, as well as how the information they find, positive or negative, impact admissions decisions. The results also highlight the ways in which search results are used and what kind of online content have the greatest impact.
Crabtree continues, "It's important for students and their advisors to realize that online searches are becoming more popular as part of the college admissions process. This is a great opportunity for students to generate positive, responsible online content to help promote their applications."
The session will be held on Wednesday, November 4 at 4:30 pm. For more information, visit www.iecaonline.com.
